I’m back with some fabric suggestions and styling tips for our new Antwerp Pullover, which I introduced to you the other day. If you missed it, no worries—you can still catch up! The pattern is primarily designed for woven fabrics, but it also works beautifully with stable knits, making it quite versatile. I’ll dive deeper into this below. So, how should you style this piece? It’s such a simple yet versatile pullover—it pairs effortlessly with almost anything! Jeans, trousers, skirts, sweatpants—they all work! Its boxy, slightly cropped silhouette makes it super adaptable. If you prefer a longer look, it’s easy to tweak the pattern to fit over leggings or a swimsuit. Imagine wearing it as a cozy swim cover-up in linen or a waffle weave—it would be perfect for adding a touch of warmth by the pool or at the beach. For everyday wear, I absolutely adore it in camel or beige tones. These colors give it a luxurious feel that’s hard to beat. ![Image](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/b638261f7478e9c2c199fb53ec744133.jpg) Now, let’s talk about some unique fabric choices. That one below looks like it might be made from waxed canvas, which would be fantastic as a windbreaker or raincoat. I love the attitude of that look, though I must insist—no matter how fashionable you get, always wear a helmet when biking! Paired with a pleated skirt, it’s a look that screams confidence. ![Image](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/77f2ad7a37b4a84745f88bed0f69240e.jpg) The classic camel version is just so chic and elegant. Layer it under a long coat or blazer for an effortlessly cool look. Mixing sporty and dressy elements never goes out of style. ![Image](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/fc229d5d2f7d2b69d33289da68e342d7.jpg) When it comes to fabric options, medium- to heavyweight wools and tweeds are ideal. Wool coating is particularly great, especially if it’s on the lighter side. Melton could also work well. I’m really excited to try this pattern in double-faced wool or cashmere because it would allow for clean finishes without facings, creating a sleek, lightweight layering piece. Imagine wearing it under a tailored blazer—it would be both stylish and practical! Of course, French terry or ponte could work too, but the key is to play around with textures. A waffle weave would be especially interesting for a summer cover-up—perhaps even lengthened for a beach-ready look over a swimsuit? Quilted fabrics could also be a fun twist. Lyndsey showed me a jacquard the other day, and I’m completely obsessed! Picture the possibilities: button-placket side seams unbuttoned for added volume and attitude. ![Image](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/3c67d3d8a2327dcfc2eb22f1bf07b01f.jpg) And yes, you can definitely sew this in lighter fabrics too. Shirting weight fabrics are a great option—just look at that beautiful contrast topstitching below. Or maybe something slightly sheer so the facing shows through—a fabulous choice! Even going super sheer with organza could be a bold move. The stiffness of the fabric would give this pattern a whole new dimension and make it perfect for dressing up. ![Image](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/9a2fb1525aa17778882f53df4a281803.jpg) For the red pullover on the pattern cover, I used a wool/poly textured weave. I think it adds such a fun element with the black threads running through it. For View B, I went with a furry wool blend that resembles classic camel—a much more traditional look. ![Image](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/dec2103438027267dcf43601089ff284.jpg) ![Image](http://bsg-i.nbxc.com/blog/5130d86b3aa5be755950c89abc8df928.jpg) No matter what fabric or style you choose, I hope you make it uniquely yours.
