From July to November 2010, Pakistani textile exports reached 4.813 billion U.S. dollars.

According to the Pakistani "News" reported on December 23, 2010, preliminary data from the National Bank of Pakistan showed that during the first five months of the fiscal year (July-November 2010), Pakistan's textile exports reached 4.813 billion U.S. dollars, compared with 40.56 in the same period of last year. The billion US dollars increased by 18.64%. Among them, the export value of knitted garments increased by 24.28% from US$865 million to US$1.075 billion; the value of bedding exports increased by 22.31% from US$650 million to US$795 million; the value of apparel exports increased slightly from US$412 million to US$414.5 million. In addition, even though this year’s catastrophic floods destroyed a large number of cotton fields, the export volume of Pakistan’s raw cotton from July to November was still as high as US$129 million, which was 17.27% higher than the US$111 million of the same period last year.

According to industry insiders, the gradual recovery of the world economy has increased the demand for textiles, which has led to a substantial increase in exports of Pakistani textile industry.
