8 batches of children's wear in Shenzhen failed

Recently, the Shenzhen Market Supervision Administration organized a supervision and random inspection of children's clothing products sold in Shenzhen.

This random inspection was conducted in accordance with national standards such as GB 18401 "National Basic Safety Technical Specifications for Textile Products" and tested the formaldehyde content, pH value, decomposable aromatic amine dyes and other mandatory items of the sample. A total of 78 batches of products produced and sold by 39 companies were checked and 70 batches passed inspection. Among them, a total of 36 batches of samples produced by 18 companies were sampled in the production field, and 33 batches were inspected. In the circulation field, 42 batches of samples sold by 18 companies were sampled and 37 batches passed inspection.

In the supervision and spot check, the unqualified 8 batches of samples were all unacceptable in terms of pH value. The pH value is a safety index of textiles. The pH value of the human skin surface is weakly acidic. If the pH value is excessive, the surface of the human body will be damaged to resist the barrier of the disease, and it will easily cause inflammation such as itching of the skin.

In view of the quality problems found in the spot checks, the SIPO has taken active measures to carry out special inspections within the city to remove the unqualified products with the above quality problems from the market and deal with the operating units according to law. For commodities that have been determined to be unqualified by monitoring, the monitored person shall stop the sales immediately and take effective measures to inform consumers.
